Hi, I’m Finley
I’m 23 and a final-stage plumbing apprentice, currently approaching the completion of my apprenticeship. I undertake work within my competence — which means I take on the jobs I know I can do to a proper standard, and I’m upfront when something needs a different trade or a registered engineer.
Alongside my regular job, where I work Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, I’m building my own plumbing business and providing services outside those hours and at weekends. That’s the whole idea behind it: plenty of people simply can’t take a day off work to wait in for a plumber, so I make evening and weekend appointments the normal option rather than an expensive extra.
How I work
I’m hard-working, disciplined and reliable, with a strong commitment to completing every job carefully, professionally and to a high standard. I take pride in being punctual, communicating clearly and leaving each work area clean and tidy — dust sheets down, old parts and packaging taken away with me.
Whether it’s a small repair, routine maintenance or a new installation, the aim is the same: an honest, friendly and dependable service. You’ll know what the job involves and what it costs before I start, and I’ll test the work in front of you before I leave.
An honest word on gas
My work covers plumbing and the wet side of heating — radiators, valves, towel rails and heating pipework. I don’t work on gas appliances or boilers; that legally requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. If your job needs one, I’ll tell you rather than take on something I shouldn’t.
